Chapter 8 of 9

Saving your progress

You never need to press save. Your stall lives in this browser; a save code moves it to another device, and email sign-in keeps it in the cloud.

Where is my stall saved?

In this browser, automatically: after every night, every purchase, and while you play. A night in progress is kept too, so closing the tab and coming back picks up the same night where you left it.

The title screen: Start, Daily challenge, Sign in and Save code The title screen on a computer
Save code and Sign in sit on the title screen.

What can clear my save?

  • Clearing this site’s data or your browser history.
  • A private or incognito window, which forgets everything when it closes.
  • Another browser or device: each one has its own stall until you move it there with a save code or sign in.

A signed-in stall is also kept on the server, so signing in again brings it back.

What is a suya game save code?

A line of letters and numbers starting MS1- that holds your whole stall and the last 14 nights of its ledger. Tap “Save code” on the title screen: “Your code” shows this stall’s code; tap “Copy” and keep it somewhere safe, or send it to yourself.

On the other device, tap “Save code”, paste the code under “Load a code” and tap “Load”. The game asks before it replaces the stall that is there. A code that is mistyped or cut short is refused, never half loaded.

Anyone who has your code can load your stall, so keep it to yourself. No account is needed.

How does Mai Suya sign in work?

With your email and a 6-digit code, no password: tap “Sign in”, enter your email, then type the code the game emails you (it lasts 10 minutes). Signed in, your stall is kept in the cloud after every night at the grill, and each finished night goes into your account’s night history, so any device you sign in on has the same stall.

If the device you sign in on already has a different stall, the game shows both and asks which one to keep.

Sign-in needs the game’s email service on the server. While it is off, “Sign in” on the title screen stays greyed out (“Sign-in is not available yet”) and a save code is the way to move your stall. Your email is used only to send sign-in codes.

How do I start over or delete my account?

“Start over” on the Settings page clears the stall in this browser and starts a new one from night 1 (copy your save code first if you may want it back).

“Delete account” on the Account page removes your account, its cloud save, its night history and its replays for good; the stall in this browser stays. Your daily challenge scores stay on their boards as “Guest stall”, with no name and no account.
