What do I do on the first night?
Eleven steps, from the morning market to the night’s summary. After the first night they become habit.
Buy meat
On the morning screen’s “Stock” tab, buy skewers of beef and chicken with your ₦5,000 starting cash. You already have one bag of charcoal and 30 portions each of yaji, onion, tomato and cabbage.
Open the stall
Tap “Open the stall”. The night runs from 19:00 to 01:00 in game time.
Put skewers on
Tap a meat in the tray, then tap an empty grill slot. Get a few skewers cooking before the first customer walks up.
Set the heat
Beside the grill are three flames: low, medium and high. The night opens on medium; the fire stays where you set it. High cooks ×1.4 as fast but leaves less time to flip.
Flip
When a skewer shows “Flip!”, tap it. You have 4 s, and a neat flip sells for 10% more.
Read the bubble
Each customer’s speech bubble shows the order in pictures: the meat and how many skewers, the pepper and any extras, the wrap and a drink.
Set the wrap
Under the tray, tap the same pepper, onion and tomato, cabbage, extra yaji, wrap and drink. What is pressed goes in the next wrap.
Take it off the grill
When a skewer is “Ready”, tap it: it goes onto the plate, where it stops cooking and can’t burn. The plate holds 40.
Tap the customer
A customer glows when the plate has their skewers. Tap them: the skewers go from the plate in the wrap you set. Get it all right for 0.5 stars more.
Get paid
The customer pays, and tips when they give 4.5 stars or more. The wrap goes back to regular pepper and newspaper.
Read the summary
At 01:00 the stall closes. The summary lists your sales, tips and every cost, then the net profit. Tap “Next night” to shop for the next night.
Will the game show me what to do?
Yes. On a new stall a small bubble points at the next thing to tap for your first three orders, then it goes for good. Ignore it, or tap “Skip tips”, whenever you like.
Nights 1 to 3 are gentler: fewer customers, more patience and skewers that take longer to burn. The first two nights are also always clear, and shorter (2 minutes instead of 2.5 minutes). No power cut comes before night 5.
What should I buy before the first night?
Mostly meat. A beef skewer costs ₦165 at the morning market and sells for ₦300 in Agege; a chicken skewer costs ₦130 and sells for ₦240. Keep back enough for the stall fee (₦800, paid when the stall closes).
One bag of charcoal lasts 180 game minutes and the night is 360 minutes long, so buy a second bag (₦300) before you open.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. On a computer every action on the grill has a key, and the mouse still works. The keys rest while you type in a box, such as the stall name in Settings.
