What is Mai Suya? A street food stall game, browser-based
Mai Suya is a suya grill game you play in the browser on a phone or a computer. You are the mai suya, the grill master at a roadside stall in Lagos, from 19:00 to 01:00: buy stock, keep the charcoal hot, flip every skewer in time and serve each order before the customer gives up.
How does one night of the grill game online go?
- Morning: buy meat, charcoal and sides, pick a place and read tonight’s forecast.
- 19:00: open the stall. Put skewers on, set the fire, flip each one in its window.
- Serve: tap the done skewers onto the plate, set the toppings and wrap, tap the customer and take the naira.
- 01:00: the stall closes. The summary counts your profit, and the next morning you spend it on stock and upgrades.
